What we collect

• Location data — your approximate location (browser geolocation or zip you enter) to find tenant unions nearby. Stored locally on your device.
• Account info — if you sign in with Google we receive your name and email via OAuth, used solely to attribute reports and union memberships.
• Reports — reports you submit are stored in our database. Anonymous reports do not display your name publicly.
• Memberships — the unions you join are visible on your public profile unless you remove them.

Cookies and tracking

• Session cookie — first-party, HttpOnly, used to keep you signed in.
• Google OAuth — for sign-in. See Google’s privacy policy.
• No ad networks — we serve no advertising and no third-party trackers.

How we use your data

• Show tenant unions and landlord reports near your location.
• Display your reports and memberships on your public profile.
• Send Web Push notifications when you opt in to alerts.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with Google for authentication. Reports are public by design; you may submit them anonymously.

Your choices

• Browse without signing in — search and view are anonymous.
• Mark a report anonymous to hide your name from public view.
• Sign out at any time, and request account deletion via privacy@tenantunion.org.
